Palmetto Preschool is a program for children age four in Palmetto Attendance Area. Classes are designed to teach children using a developmental approach through learning centers and hands-on activities. We also have a Developmental Delays class for children who qualify through Child Find or BabyNet
Preschool special services are provided by our speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist and physical therapist for children with developmental delays.
Enrollment is determined by a screening process that includes a parent questionnaire and the DIAL4 screening. The DIAL4 assesses a child's strengths and weaknesses in the areas of motor, concept (cognitive), and language skills.
We currently have openings in our morning and afternoon 4K sessions. Parents may come by our front office to complete registration paperwork. Please bring your child's birth certificate, Social Security card, current immunization record and proof of residency in Anderson School District One. Once paperwork is completed, Amy Bell, Preschool Coordinator, will call to schedule the DIAL4 screening appointment.
