All students will be visiting with their ELA or ELA Enrichment classes during the week, but can also come anytime with a pass from a teacher or before or after school. Parents are also welcome to come shop during the day! Just check in at the main office, and they will direct you down to the media center. We accept cash, checks (made out to Wren Middle School) or major credit card. Can't wait to see you at the fair!

  • Junior Book Award Voting Lunch

Posted by Emily Pataky at 2/26/2016

Yesterday was our Junior Book Award Voting Lunch! Students who read at least 3 of this year's nominees were able to vote on their favorites over yummy chicken sandwiches and cookies. The votes were close, but the favorite book at Wren Middle was Prisoner B-3087, by Alan Gratz. Mrs. Pataky submitted all the votes and in a few weeks, we'll see who is the overall state winner!

  • #WRAD16

Posted by Emily Pataky at 2/25/2016

Yesterday was World Read Aloud Day (known as #WRAD16 on social media!), a day recognized around the world to celebrate the importance of literacy and sharing stories! Here at Wren we celebrated by having a Read Aloud Cafe in the Media Center. During lunchtime, students brought their lunches to the Media Center to listen to teachers and mentors read their favorite stories, poems, and tales aloud. Almost 200 students came and joined in the fun! You're never too old to listen to stories!

  • Get those books in!

Posted by Emily Pataky at 11/18/2015
As we approach the holiday season, we can definitely be thankful for all the library books and materials we have access to here at Wren Middle! However, as of this week, over 400 books were overdue or missing from our collection. Let's get us back on the right track before we head off for Thanksgiving break!

Next Tuesday, Nov. 24, I will be doing a prize drawing for any students who have no overdue or missing library books on their account!Six winners will be chosen (one boy and one girl from each grade level) and will be awarded a book to keep of their choice, an extra check-out on their library account (to check out 4 books at a time instead of 3), a handmade bookmark, and some extra goodies.

To be eligible for the drawing, make sure to turn in any overdue or missing books by Monday, November 23!

Check out the Media Center Policies page for more information about how our media center operates.

  • Going for the WIN!

Posted by Emily Pataky at 11/12/2015

We had great participation in Read to the Big Game Challenge! 50 students returned their entry forms to Mrs. Pataky, meaning they read a total of 300 books in the months of September and October! Way to go readers! Now we keep our fingers crossed that one of the winners of the four free Palmetto Bowl tickets come from Wren Middle!
